So the people in the churches in those places trusted Jesus more strongly, and every day other people joined them and trusted in Jesus too.
Paul and his friends wanted to tell the message about Jesus to the people in the country called Asia, but the Holy Spirit told them, “No, don’t do that.” So they went through the countries called Phrygia and Galatia.
Then they came to the country called Mysia, and they tried to go on into the next country, called Bithynia. But the Holy Spirit said again, “No, don’t do that.”
So they went past Mysia and came to the town called Troas.
They stayed at Troas, and that night Paul had something like a dream, but he was not asleep, he was still awake. He saw a man from Macedonia country. That man stood there and kept telling Paul, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
I, Luke, joined with Paul and Silas there at Troas. Paul told us what he saw, and then we knew that God wanted us to tell the good news to the people in Macedonia, and we got ready to go there.
